We are looking for a Risk Assessment and Insurance Expert, to be involved in the ongoing international/European research projects in the field of climate insurance and services for climate-related financial risk disclosure.

ROLE
The Risk Assessment and Insurance Expert will work in research projects focusing on climate insurance and services for climate-related financial risk disclosure.
REQUIREMENTS
- PhD degree in Economics, Environmental Economics, Ecological Economics, Business Analysis, Environmental Science (or similar subjects) with good knowledge of finance & economics, or as an alternative, at least 5 years relevant working experience with a comparable publication record;
- Background in or good knowledge and experience in environmental/resource/ ecological economics, sustainable business innovation, insurance, green finance, smart specialisation strategies, environmental accounts or similar themes;
- Quantitative skills, including geospatial analysis (knowledge of programming in R and Python is not strictly required but would be an asset);
- Very good knowledge of English (working language at CMCC/RAAS), knowledge of other foreign languages is an asset;
- Experience and attitude towards interdisciplinary team working
- Good communication skills
- Strong problem-solving attitude
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
- The Risk Assessment and Insurance Expert will be based in Venice CMCC office.
- Contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience.
- Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract.
- Flexible working time as per internal policies.
- Support during the immigration process, if needed.
PROTECTED CATEGORY
Belonging to legally protected categories (ex L. 68/99) will constitute a preferential condition.
Some fiscal benefits could be applied for repatriated workers or foreign researchers/professors, having the requirements defined by Dlgs 147/2015 (for repatriates) or Dl 78/2010 (for foreigners).
