We are looking for a Risk Assessment and Insurance Expert, to be involved in the ongoing international/European research projects in the field of climate insurance and services for climate-related financial risk disclosure.

ROLE

The Risk Assessment and Insurance Expert will work in research projects focusing on climate insurance and services for climate-related financial risk disclosure.

REQUIREMENTS

PhD degree in Economics, Environmental Economics, Ecological Economics, Business Analysis, Environmental Science (or similar subjects) with good knowledge of finance & economics, or as an alternative, at least 5 years relevant working experience with a comparable publication record;
Background in or good knowledge and experience in environmental/resource/ ecological economics, sustainable business innovation, insurance, green finance, smart specialisation strategies, environmental accounts or similar themes;
Quantitative skills, including geospatial analysis (knowledge of programming in R and Python is not strictly required but would be an asset);
Very good knowledge of English (working language at CMCC/RAAS), knowledge of other foreign languages is an asset;
Experience and attitude towards interdisciplinary team working
Good communication skills
Strong problem-solving attitude

DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
The Risk Assessment and Insurance Expert will be based in Venice CMCC office.
Contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience.
Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract.
Flexible working time as per internal policies.
Support during the immigration process, if needed.
