Our Institute for Climate Resilience (ICR) is looking for up to 2 disaster and climate resilience researchers, located in Venice, responsible for contributing to the ongoing international/European research projects in the field of risk governance, disaster resilience, civil protection, disaster risk reduction, and climate adaptation.

ROLE
The disaster and climate resilience researchers will be involved in the ongoing international/European research projects in the field of risk governance, disaster resilience, civil protection, disaster risk reduction, and climate adaptation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Academic background in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Science, Urban Policies and Planning, Political Science (or similar subjects) with good knowledge of disaster/climate risk management, or as an alternative, at least 5 years working experience in the field of disaster risk management/climate change adaptation;
- Background in or good knowledge and experience in disaster risk management, civil protection and climate change adaptation; experience in collaborating with public institutions and key stakeholders in the field of disaster risk management and climate change adaptation, experience in conducting risk assessments;
- Accuracy and good analytical skills.
- Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of other foreign languages is an asset;
- Proactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong team spirit with proven capacity to thrive in interdisciplinary environments.
- Skilled at multitasking and managing competing priorities efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving orientation with a focus on practical and innovative solutions
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
- The disaster and climate resilience researchers will be based in Venice CMCC office.
- Contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience.
- Welfare package, for minimum 12 months contract.
- Flexible working time as per internal policies.
- Support during the immigration process, if needed.
PROTECTED CATEGORY
Belonging to legally protected categories (ex L. 68/99) will constitute a preferential condition.
Some fiscal benefits could be applied for repatriated workers or foreign researchers/professors, having the requirements defined by Dlgs 147/2015 (for repatriates) or Dl 78/2010 (for foreigners).
