We are looking for a Communication Specialist to support the CMCC Advanced Training and Education Center (ATEC).

ROLE
The Communication Specialist will report to the Director of the Advanced Training and Education Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Communication Specialist will support ATEC, as follows:
- Develop and implement communication strategies for an impactful and professional communication
- Manage internal and external communication activities in the ATEC business lines.
- Improve the available communication toolkit for both extraordinary and day-to-day activities.
- Maintain, update, and optimize ATEC web pages and channels. Particular attention will be dedicated to the development of the image and reputation of ATEC.
- Identify and establish collaborations with relevant media outlets, journalists, universities, and strategic partners to increase outreach and visibility.
- Develop news updates to ensure effective external communication.
- Create engaging visuals, infographics, and materials to inform and disseminate about ATEC activities.
- Manage social media channels, from planning to monitoring and analysis of engagement metrics.
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a motivated person with the following requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and activities.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Italian
- Experience in managing editorial content.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, attention to detail as well as ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
- Experience with the most common CMS, with a particular focus on WordPress and mailing list management tools (i.e. Mailup, Mailchimp, etc.).
- Strong command of common design software to create graphics independently.
- Experience in outreach activities, including media relations, partnerships with universities, and engagement with key stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with other members of the teams
- Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad.
- Proficiency in office tools, like GSuite and Office suite.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the following fields: Climate Science and related fields, Education and Training, Climate Change Education.
- Knowledge of languages other than English.
- Knowledge of national or EU-funded programmes (e.g. Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, and related funding frameworks).
DURATION, COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Please note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally.
- The successful candidate will be based in Milan CMCC office.
- Contract and gross annual salary will be based on qualifications and working experience.
- The appointment period will initially be 12 months and renewable pending a positive evaluation.

Belonging to legally protected categories (ex L. 68/99) will constitute a preferential condition.
